Greetings and Salutations;<\/span><\/div>\n
\u00a0<\/span><\/div>\n
We are approaching the end of the first full week of the president-elect’s administration. \u00a0 Perhaps to the surprise of some, \u00a0he is doing exactly what he said he was going to do in the inflamed rhetoric of his campaign.<\/span><\/div>\n
\u00a0<\/span><\/div>\n
\n
    \n
  1. He has issued an Executive Order that gives the repeal of the ACA a huge step forwards.<\/span><\/li>\n
  2. He has issued an Executive Order to start construction on the $30 Trillion boondoggle that is the border fence between America and Mexico.<\/span><\/li>\n
  3. He has appointed a slew of Cabinet members who are totally incompetent at governing; \u00a0whose main qualification is that they have given him or his family many, \u00a0many millions of dollars; and whose goals are focused on destroying the agency they are in charge of.<\/span><\/li>\n
  4. He has put a gag order on the EPA, \u00a0blocking them from saying ANYTHING to the pubic…this includes social media postings, \u00a0scientific reports, \u00a0projections of coming events, \u00a0etc.\u00a0 This is also happening with other agencies.\u00a0\u00a0 HERE is an article detailing one of those gag orders<\/a>
    \n<\/span><\/li>\n
  5. He has frozen the hiring of governmental employees.<\/span><\/li>\n
  6. He has renewed an ancient law that is still on the books that allows him to cut budgets and salaries down to $1.00 if he so desires.<\/span><\/li>\n
  7. He has moved forwards (again with an Executive Order) to move towards removing the United States from their membership in the United Nations.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/div>\n
    \u00a0<\/span><\/div>\n
    There are many more, \u00a0equally bad, decisions that he has made, and that have eroded America’s position in the world.<\/span><\/div>\n
    \u00a0<\/span><\/div>\n
    \u00a0<\/span><\/div>\n
    I have, \u00a0over the past couple of years, \u00a0become convinced that the donald is a sick person who needs a LOT of help…and that he should NOT \u00a0be the leader of the Free World. \u00a0 He exhibits many of the classic symptoms of a person in the early stages of Alzheimer’s. \u00a0 I say this because he cannot communicate on an adult level; \u00a0because he is prone to somewhat demented outbursts; \u00a0because he will focus on a meaningless issue and attack over it as if it was World War 3; \u00a0because he apparently cannot recall what he has said, \u00a0which means he has many recorded instances of telling one lie at noon, \u00a0and a second, \u00a0contradictory lie \u00a0at 1:30…and he will deny he said the first thing at all! \u00a0These facts…added to the above list of bad decisions, \u00a0and the many other documented failures of judgment are proof enough that he has some serious problems that make him a danger to himself and others.\u00a0 There are many others that agree with this.\u00a0 Here, for example,\u00a0 is a commentary by Keith Olbermann<\/a> on the topic.

    \u00a0<\/span><\/div>\n
    Now..what can be done about this? \u00a0 At this point in time, \u00a0there IS a Constitutional solution to the problem. \u00a0 The 25th Amendment \u00a0states that if the President is unable to perform his duties, \u00a0the Vice President and Congress can act to relieve him of the office. \u00a0 The Vice President then becomes the Acting President until\u00a0 Congress can Impeach and Remove the President from the office. \u00a0 Pence is not even my tenth choice for the Leader of the Country. \u00a0 However, \u00a0he would be an improvement over the donald, \u00a0mainly because Pence has a rather more limited agenda than the donald. \u00a0 I am sure that Pence does not want to burn down the house, \u00a0with all of us in it. \u00a0Rather, \u00a0he wants to implement a fanatic Theocracy…and pretty much leave the rest of the society alone. \u00a0 I suspect we can deal with that, \u00a0as a society!<\/span><\/div>\n
    \u00a0<\/span><\/div>\n
    For this to work, though, \u00a0it will require the Republicans to come to their senses, \u00a0and remember that the Constitution is the head of the Country, \u00a0and that their primary loyalty should be to that document and the country…NOT their Party! \u00a0 After all, \u00a0they do swear an oath to uphold the Constitution when they take office! \u00a0 Will they do this, though? \u00a0 I have NO confidence that they will. \u00a0At this point, \u00a0unless I am proven wrong, \u00a0I remain convinced that their Party matters more to them than the Constitution and the Country.<\/span><\/div>\n
    \u00a0<\/span><\/div>\n
    \u00a0<\/span><\/div>\n
    The only alternatives I can see to the above course of action are bloody and painful. \u00a0 We could end up in that Civil War that the donald promised would happen if he did not win. \u00a0 The last Civil War did not go well for the United States, \u00a0and today’s world is far more dangerous than it was in the 1800s. \u00a0 There are multiple countries out there that would LOVE to see America split, and powerless on the World Stage. \u00a0At the least, \u00a0we would see them move into the power vacuum left from our distraction. \u00a0At worst, \u00a0we could see America split up into two or more pieces, \u00a0under the control of those countries.<\/span><\/div>\n
    \u00a0<\/span><\/div>\n
    The other alternative is a military coup. \u00a0Again, \u00a0this would likely not be a clean or violence free event. \u00a0 Even if the military were to depose the donald and his cultists, \u00a0then, \u00a0in a year, \u00a0step back and respect the democratic process again, \u00a0it would leave some serious scars on every one of us citizens. \u00a0 \u00a0<\/span><\/div>\n
    \u00a0<\/span><\/div>\n
    So…While I still run into delusional folks that say “give him a chance”, \u00a0my reply is “I have, \u00a0and those bridges are burned. \u00a0I see the future and it makes Orwell’s 1984 look like a paradise!” \u00a0 I call upon Mike Pence to step up and stop the madness. \u00a0 Remove the president elect for being too unstable to perform the duties of the office.\u00a0 Get him the help he needs to hang onto what ever amount of sanity he has left. \u00a0 Halt and re-consider the Cabinet appointees, \u00a0and put in people who are knowledgeable and able to run the agencies and improve them. \u00a0 \u00a0I call on Congress to Impeach the donald and remove him from office as quickly as possible, \u00a0as he is a danger not only to America and its way of life, \u00a0but to the entire world.<\/span><\/div>\n
